I am a foodie. There, I wrote it.
But in 2008, my taste buds’ love affair with banana bread and blueberry pancakes came to an unfair end when I learned I had food allergies. I knew that a diet change would be difficult, but it proved to be an even bigger challenge than I expected. As I wandered grocery store aisles and scoured the Internet, I continually encountered limited options, cardboard textures and funky tastes.
Unwilling to be restricted to a life of blandness, I instead searched for nutritious, gluten-free options that actually tasted good. Cue the tiny powerhouse, quinoa. I created this cereal to appeal to both my food-restricted friends along with all you food lovers out there.
