As if you need an excuse to eat chocolate or sip champagne. Puh-lease. But, seriously, regardless of whether you have a special someone, Valentine's Day is just another day to honor some incredible treats.
We take our holiday food seriously. After careful research and the arduous task of taste testing, we've identified FIVE TOP recipes to make your v-day romantically delicious.
We could probably stop right here and award this baby first place. Kudos to Jessica over at the How Sweet It Is blog. Truly this match up is sheer brilliance. We grilled ours with some fresh gluten-free bread from our local bakery.
Chocolate is the universal sign of love. And there's a whole lotta love going on here. Jenni from The Urban Poser uses coconut flour to make these babies Paleo and completely grain-free. We especially love the touch (or, in our case, heaping mound) of Strawberry Whipped (Unbutter) Cream on top.
So Red Velvet cake is just sexy on it's own. But dress it in a dark chocolate glaze, and you have down-right stunner. Amy at Fragrant Vanilla Cake created this beauty, in all it's raw, gluten-free, vegan lusciousness.
Let's get this straight: raspeberry coulis, some dry bubbly and a scoop of velvety vanilla ice "cream". Someone has developed our kryptonite. The Daily Meal just brought dessert to the glass.
Wine and chocolate have been flirting for a while. With this delectable morsel, they're now a longtime romance. And clearly, with two showings on our top five list, we have a serious crush on How Sweet It Is.
